Alexandra Primary School
On Thursday 18th October we attended the Year 5/6 Best Football cluster tournament, which was held at Cranford Community College and included 6 other local schools. Our team was ably coached by Peter Hollins who holds a credited football referee and coaching certificate. We took along with us an A and B team and tried our best to win a position in the Borough finals. Unfortunately we did not make it to the borough finals as only the group winners went through to the Borough finals. However our football team will play on throughout the rest of the academic year by taking part in the C8 football league. Alexandra in the past has only ever trained and had year 6 boys for this competition. However, this year we have started from Year 5, which means by the time the team reach Year 6 they would have had plenty of training, skills and knowledge.
