Welcome to Year 2

APS has strengthened our approach to coronavirus-related wellbeing issues – please see our Wellbeing Support Handbook March 21, part of our continued Whole, Happy Healthy strategy and as a result we will be looking to identify warning signs in children in order to support your child.

It would be very much appreciated if you could continue to read with your children on a daily basis – this really does make a huge difference in terms of both achievement and a love of reading. This year we would like you to sign their pupil planner when you have heard your child read, please leave a comment to say whether they enjoyed the book etc.

Currently we are asking that your child to wear a full P.E. kit to school on their P.E days. The kit should include: black shorts or tracksuit bottoms (dependent on weather), white polo shirt and trainers. We advise that children wear their school jumper / cardigan.

We would like every child to have a water bottle with them in school in order to stay hydrated during the day.  Please ensure this is labelled with their name.
